If you have any questions, please contact Quarry Pak via EMAIL ONLY pakq@sfusd.edu Letter of Introduction Resume As the School Climate Coordinator you will report to Executive Director School Health Programs, be a part of the School Health Programs Student, Family and Community Support Department (SFCSD) and a district leader in ensuring students are safe, healthy and ready to learn. You will help to lead SFCSD\'s transformational work to deliver on the promises outlined in both Transform Learning. Transform Lives. as well as our long-term, city-wide North Star, Vision 2025. We want someone who will work to ensure the academic, physical and emotional growth of San Francisco\'s children and youth by assisting school sites in building their capacity to meet the needs of the whole child.?Articulate a compelling vision for establishing and maintaining a safe and supportive school environment for all students, especially for youth at disproportionate risk?Design, implement and regularly evaluate customized student support services to meet student, family, and school community needs to support academic achievement, school attendance, and social-emotional learning?Design and execute professional development on research-validated curricula related to health and wellness and evidence-based student support practices?Provide technical assistance to schools related to implementation of student support programs and strengthening school linked community-based services?Collaborate with a wide array of internal and external partners to increase school connectedness and strengthen other protective factors for students: opportunities for youth participation, high expectations, positive relationships with peers and adults, and parent/caregiver engagement.?Serve as SFUSD\'s representative liaising with city, state and federal agencies and community-based organizations serving children and families with academic, social, legal, health and out-of-school time programs and support servicesThe strongest candidates will have:?Knowledge of San Francisco\'s public schools/urban public schools and a passionate belief in SFUSD\'s commitment to instructional leadership as a lever toward delivering on the SFUSD Graduate Profile?A strong record of managing organizational change and initiating key innovations?Strong analytic and systems thinking necessary to interpret data to inform goals and strategy, as well as build infrastructure where none exists?Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and roles within a complex organization and in collaboration with government agencies and community-based organizations?A proven record of effectively planning, organizing and using resources to take action and achieve goals?Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, senior staff and community members?Experience and success with effective written and verbal communication, facilitation and presentations to large groups and a variety of audiences (e.g., staff meetings, executive briefings, public board meetings, memos)?Ability to work effectively in difficult situations that involve confidential and sensitive matters?Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)?Bilingual fluency in Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Tagalog or other language APPLY (CURRENT EMPLOYEES ONLY) APPLY Back To Search Results Page SDL2017
